ISA conferences always feature special excursions. This year, there will be two excursions, both on the morning of Wednesday June 4th. We will open up registration for the excursions by the end of April. There is an additional registration fee of $35 per excursion. Details TBA, but we do know that departure for one of the excursions will be early on Wednesday morning so plan to be in the Cambridge/Boston area by Tuesday evening June 3rd. You must be a member to present a paper at the conference. Thus if you receive an acceptance email, we recommend that you establish, verify, or renew your ISA membership at the same time as you register. This year’s conference marks ISA’s 15th anniversary and celebrates the profound impact that industry studies research continues to have on academic scholarship, management practice, and public policy. Because of the very high number of submissions this year, which is straining the capacity of the space we have at MIT, and in line with the practice at most academic conferences, we are requiring that all presenters complete registration and membership activation by Wednesday April 23rd. Any paper that does not have at least one author registered by that date will be dropped from the program. Registration fees will also rise after that date. Industry Studies Annual 2025 Conference Registration FeesProfessional Member Registration: $425 (BY April 23, 2025) Student Member Registration: $275 (BY April 23, 2025) Professional Member Registration: $500 (AFTER April 23, 2025) Student Member Registration: $350 (AFTER April 23, 2025) Non-Member Professional Registration: $650 Non-Member Student Registration: $450 Conference AccommodationsISA does not have an official hotel for this conference. You will find our guidance on finding accommodations for the conference on the 2025 ISA Conference Information page, organized by distance from MIT's Samberg Center. The Samberg Center is located at the MITSloan School of Management in the Chang Building (E52). The address is 50 Memorial Drive; you may also enter from Wadsworth Street. This location is close to Kendall Square and the MIT/Kendall stop on the Red Line of the MBTA subway system. We recommend keeping the Red Line stations in mind when choosing a hotel. Walking from Boston's Back Bay to MIT across the Longfellow Bridge or the Massachusetts Avenue bridge is very pleasant; check walking times to Samberg as these will vary by hotel location.
